A large area of northern India, including Himachal Pradesh, is virtually under water due to torrential rains, flash floods and landslides in July for several consecutive days and again since August 10th. Roads in Shimla, Nainital, Kullu- Manali have been flooded, several bridges have collapsed, communication systems are completely disrupted.
