Synopsis of the speech—
1.There had been at least 20 pandemics in human history including Black Death (1346-1353) and Spanish Flu (1918-1920). The present pandemic is receiving more attention and creating more panic because it is getting wider coverage. thanks to social media
2.It appears that the environmental root of this pandemic has been over emphasised; more severe epidemics took place in the globe when carbon foot -print had been much lower
3.In Wuhan wet market the corona virus could not be traced in any animal traded there
4.China could manage the pandemic by implementing thorough lock-down in Wuhan.India failed because the lock-down was ill planned , the implementation was messy
5.Fiscal failure in imparting stimulus to Covd affected Economy of India.The economy has to register a negative growth rate of GDP during this fiscal year
6.Covid: opportunity for Capital (i) social distancing to serve more digitalisation and labour saving devises (ii) concentration and centralisation of capital at higher pace due to marginalisation of small business
